I have a web cam but i don't have the disc driver, because the box was flooded by the typhoon. how can i install my web cam to my laptop ? thank you if you will solve my problem.

I suggest to take a look on the box and see if it says it don;t need a driver for windows ..most cameras sold in the last 2 years do not need a driver disk in windows anymore and install themselves right the way ..Just give it a try in case it never had a driver ..

You need to install the driver for the camera. If you look in the device manager, you should see it is an unknown device. Check HPs web site to see if they have a driver. If not, determine the web cam hardware and see if you can get a driver from the manufacturer.

google the manufacturer's website then download the driver form there.

They may two types of problem in PC one software corrupted or second may hardware failure. Every branded PC has their mother board disc. you can find it in the box packing of your PC usually they provide installation manual, mother board disc etc on the purchase. search for motion eye web cam driver in the mother board disc before installing it uninstall previous web cam driver from add or remove programs.In case of hardware failure contact service center.

There are two files needed for the webcam to work. Go to the HP support driver page and look for the driver for the Cyberlink Youcam. You'll have to put the exact model number in a special search box in order to download the youcam software from HP

Please check in the Device Manager under "Imaging Devices" whether the "Web cam driver is listed". If the Web cam driver is not listed then install the web cam driver either using the Recovery Discs or from the location "C:\Drivers". Please do restart the Computer after installing the driver. Even if the web cam driver is listed under the "imaging devices" in the Device Manager then right click on it and unistall then restart the Computer and reinstall it. Next, use any video utilities such as MSN or any other to check if the web cam is working normally. It's required to configure web cam in the utilities to be used with any other utilities.
