You just have to press the "yes" button. Watch the display. It says "Change PCU Y/N"

Even I change the tuner but it's appearse the same masseage to put a new ink or tuner

If the copies look fine it is the toner hopper. It does not remove the seal from the bottle when closed. If the copies are getting light it could be the developer unit has worn out bushings and gears thus it does not turn properly making it impossible to sense the toner level and the constant add toner message. Usually you can hear noise if this is the case. Look at the oriface where the toner drops into the photoconductor unit from the toner unit. Is it full of toner coming out the top? If so, time to replace the PCU.

@wAm getting a sc 302 code on a gestetner mp 171.I have changed the whole drum unit.

Hello!
When you change the PCU did you conect the blue plug????
If this is not the case remove the PCU again and if you look deep down you will see a metalic shaft. Clean it and install again the PCU.

Hope this helps you

I have a gestetner 1312 copier it says reset pcu proprly.what does this mean.

The PCU is the drum unit. It probably has just worked loose. Just unlatch it and shove it back in to make good connection in back.

Hi.when i m switch on the Ricoh 3310L Fax,the message is coming as shown below "time to change PCU"

Order a new PCU from Ricoh. Power off the machine and replace the pcu.
If you try and cheat it it will run for a short while and then lock-up breaking some gears. Cheeper just to order a pcu. Check Ebay, i see alot of Ricoh supplies there.

I have a gestetner DSm745e it keeps on poping out a code SC302 however i don't have a manual for it can you help me?

Charge roller current leak. The polling module detects a current leak of the charge roller.Check, clean or change the charge roller, verify the connection of the PCU,and verify the high voltage suplly board conectors.Turning the main power switch OFF and ON resets the SC code if the error is caused by incorrect sensor detection.

Afficio 450 or gestetner 3245 calibration

Dev. Change Process

1. Check that Dev. unit has the lastest seals.
2. replace dev. material.
3. Dump dev.
4. add new dev. material.
5. Hand rotate the dev. unit 10 times.
6. reinstall the dev. unit into machine.
7. cover the toner inlet opening with a piece of paper
8. insert PCU unit.
9. turn the machine on.
10. When machine reaches ready -- enter SP modes and perform SP-2801 (2 times)
11. open the right cover of the machine. Cheat the right cover switch. Examine the drum as it rotates. Afew bands of toner and the ID pattern will be developed on the drum. The drum should be clean -- a slight dusting on the drum is OK.
12. Perform SP-3001 -- ID sensor initial setting.
13. ** Important** remove the PCU unit. Empty the toner from the PCU by sliding the shutter on the bottom of the PCU to the side and tapping the PCU.
14. reinstall the PCU.
15. Run test copies.

Pls rate -- thank you
