Hi, My Lavamat w1050 barrely switches itself on, and when it does so rarely, it barely holds on for a few seconds, before getting shut off completely. I suspect the front panel control board holding all the push buttons may be faulty. Any suggestions?

Hi, just solved the same problem with our aeg lavamat w 1020. Try checking the filter tray (or port) at the bottom left-hand corner of your machine. This was our problem and as soon as the blockage was removed the machine could be pumped out. It appears to be running OK now.
These machines do not release the door immediately after wash cycle is complete. After final spin cycle wait until you hear a click sound. The door will then be able to be opened. This takes uproximately three minutes.
regards,
Alf
