I need a manual for Proton D940 receiver. I lost mine. Where can I find one?

There are a few options you can try to find a manual for your Proton D940 receiver:
  1. Check the manufacturer's website. Proton may have a copy of the manual available for download on their website.
  2. Contact the manufacturer. Proton may be able to send you a copy of the manual or point you to a location where you can find one.
  3. Check online retailers or auction sites. There may be copies of the manual available for purchase from online retailers or on auction sites such as eBay.
  4. Check with a local repair shop or electronics store. They may have copies of the manual or be able to help you find one.
  5. Check online forums or discussion groups. There may be other users of the Proton D940 receiver who have a copy of the manual and would be willing to share it with you.
I hope this information is helpful. Good luck in finding a manual for your Proton D940 receiver.

Can't get my 21 1 ir/uhf pro remote to work with dish network dvr 625

If you are attempting to program it to tv-2 on a 625 receiver it has to be set to a odd number for example number 7 instead of 2 or 6.
The reason for this is that the 625 receiver only supports band A frequencies for UHF and on a 21.x remote odd numbers are A band and even numbers are B band.

I have a Sanyo DP32648 that keeps losing only one channel in the program. When the TV is turned off, that channel disappears from the program. I have to manually reboot the entire list. How can I solve...

It sounds like there is some electrical noise interference that would not be "fixable". If though, we reconfigure the way that they are connected together, we may be able to avoid the noise.

Instead of allowing the antenna signal to "pass through" the 625 we will skip it.

After following the directions, switching between satellite and antenna will be done by selecting on the SANYO "Input 1" for satellite, and selecting "Ant" for antenna. K?

Try this:

From the 625 Tuner 1- using RCA cables (a.k.a. composite cables, or red, white, yellow cable), connect to "Input 1" on the Sanyo TV. To see composite cables go to http://www.wowvision.tv/settingsandconnections.htm

Next, remove the coaxial cable between the Sat box and TV. (Sanyo "Ant. In" port and 625 "Out to TV" port) Set that cable aside.

Now, remove the incoming antenna cable from the 625 "Ant. In" port, and connect it to the Sanyo's "Antenna In" port.

Finally, scan for channels and check for the presence of CBS.

Once verified, test the TV by turning off and on.

Turn on the satellite receiver and switch Sanyo to "Input 1" to verify sat picture.

I believe this solution will satisfy your needs. Please let me know if it doesn't work, and I will need to talk to you about signal strengths, again.

God bless,
Highdefjeff

How do I get closed captioning on my 625 dish dvr.

Guest,

The 625 receiver does not have a setting to control closed caption. This is a setting from your TV itself. I would look at your TV manual to see how you can turn the feature on. I hope this helps.

Hooking Up Panasonic sc-ht670 home theater to Dish DVR 625 and Panasonic TH-42PHD7UY Plasma TV

You will need to run a set of audio cables from the TV1 output on the rear of the 625 directly to one of the three audio inputs on the surround system. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Connection to TV by HDMI cable

The 625 is not a high definition receiver and therefore does not support hdmi. You can use RGB or S-video to provide a higher quality picture than the coax output. If you need more options let me know. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
