buy a "USB Sound Adpator" for 1$ from Ebay and attach it to the USB port and connect the sound jack cable to the sound out jack in the adaptor you will get back the sound.....
the issue u r facing is commion and being faced by many....and that includes myself...this a known problem with Windows with respect to Sound IRQ being changed by XP and making changes to the sound card chip on the motherboard....

Its because of your motherboard drivers problem... first install the drivers of ur motherboard,then try installing the sound driver...then u will nt be getting such type of msg.

I formated my system with window 7 and there was no audio sound
if your sound card not detected
use kb888 utility on intel945 orignal driver cd, sound driver folder
after detaction go to divice manager and go to property on divice whose driver are not found
copu device id http://devid.info use this site download driver and enjoy it
