I am trying to install an Java 6 update 20

I am trying to install an update on my java which I am not sure has been working properly. It has been failing while I try to access a webinar application.

The message I got from the Java installation is : the wizard was interrupted before Java 6 update 20 could be completely installed. to complete installation at another time, please run set up again."

When I try again however, it doesn't work. What do I do?

If you are using any form of Anti Virus software, it could be stopping the installation process. Go to the SUN Java website, and download the latest version. Save it to your desktop. Take a moment to reboot your machine completely. DO NOT start any other programs after rebooting. Stop or disable your ANTI VIRUS software. Install the JAVA update and reboot. The update should work, and upon rebooting after the install, your AV software should start again. If it is still disabled, enable it.

Canon ImagePress C1 cannot calibrate from Windows 7

The problem is it doesn't recognize Java 7. Install Java 6 (latest version) and it will work. You can have both Java 6 and 7 installed at the same time. As well make sure if you are running a 64bit machine you install the 32bit version of Java (so you will have 4 versions installed). Java 7 32 & 64 bit, Java 6 32 & 64 bit. I had the same issue and solved it this way.

Having the most recent Java application will ensure proper communication between Internet Explorer and the Messenger application. Please follow these steps to uninstall and reinstall your Java runtime environment. Uninstall and Reinstall Java
1.On your keyboard, hold down the Windows key and press the R key. This opens the "Run" command. 2.Type in appwiz.cpl and click OK. This opens "Add or Remove Programs." 3.Select Java and then click the Uninstall button. There may be multiple installed versions, so be sure to remove all of them. 4.Next, download and install the latest version of Java Runtime Environment 5.To ensure the update is effective please Clear the Yahoo! Messenger Cache 6.Restart Messenger to determine if the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, try Resetting the Browser Configuration.

Can't update Java 1.1.4. Can't view Java or Suns web sites

Use JavaRA:

http://raproducts.org/

Works great for getting rid of older Java installs. Has links to the Java update pages inside the program too.

Also, try installing Firefox and use it to download Java installer.

Java jre installation not complete

Hi There,

As i understand you receive an error when you run the installed program.

Please uninstall the complete downloaded software and reboot the PC. Then download the latest Java JRE (Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7) to run all Java programs from the link given below,
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Once you have installed the Java JRE, again install the program and test if it works.

It will work!!

Regards,

Olafsson.
