SOURCE: Inter-Tel Axxess holding.

There is a timer option in programming called on-hold recall or Hold recall etc.. This would need to be changed by someone who has access to system wide programming features and cannot be changed on a per-phone basis.

SOURCE: Inter-tel Access

You definitely need to have a local phone installation company come in and help you with this. Axxess system setup and programming is extremely complicated for someone that has not worked with it and it requires specific software to make program changes. If you know the company that installed (or services) the system you should call them.

SOURCE: When conferencing two outside parties, how can I

The Inter-Tel will not allow you to leave the conference without disconnecting the outside parties, this is the system design. The hold recall time could possibly be increased to reduce the aggravation.

My phone rings, but when I answer I can't hear the person on the other end & they can't hear me. How do I fix this?

Can you hear them if you use the speaker not the handset? My be a bad handset or you could have Headset mode on. Default code for headset is infinity 317 or just 317

Intertel GLX phone rings busy unless unplugged

You could have a bad phone try to swap it with a working one. If that does not work there could be a problem with the port in the system or cabling. Move to a new port or new cable

I need my phone to ring at my desk

Turn the program toggle switch on (right side of KSU), go to the phone to be programmed and press the # button, then press the line button to ring, then pick up and then hang up handset. You should hear a confirmation tone. This will affect all line buttons, even the ones not pressed. Any line buttons not pressed will not ring. Do this at each phone.
