Try to turn phone on but says use genuine battery. the battery is the original?

U are not using an original LG battery. They have some sort of chip inside them for ID purposes. When you use another battery, even though it fits properly, the phone will not charge the battery!!!!
On my LG the off brand battery works but I have to use a universal charger to do the deed and not the phone. It appears LG has taken it one step further by not even allowing you to use a non LG battery!
That really bites!!!!!!!!!

It may have been an original but it was used or defective. Try exchanging it with them.

Replace your ''fake'' Chinese battery to an original one.... and try to turn on your phone...

Battery is bad and producing a very low voltage. Phone thinks you have the wrong battery.............. or you really do.

Make sure always bluetooth and camera shutter turned off.
set brightness(senser ) to minimum,
Try to charge battery after full empty of battery,
Only charge 2 and half hours maximum,
Buy a genuine battery(original).
Make sure all application closed (Minimisation of applications cause charge removal),(Press and hold menu key show if threre is any applications works on background),
Try to format phone by press *#7370# Install a good antivirus(netquin)

i think you have to replace the battery, and try to buy the original or genuine battery.

try a diff battery

Your phone is detecting a not genuine battery.You should use a genuine battery for your phone to avoid this kind of warning.

Check whether : -

(1) You're using the same battery that was Bundled with the Phone (Genuine One).
(2) You're using the same Charger that was bundled with the Phone (Genuine One).
(3) You're inserting the Charger Pin in the Phone's Charger Socket properly.

If the above ones don't work, please contact NOKIA CARE with Original Purchase Bill.

Not exactly a solution. I tried leaving it off overnight and tried it several times after removing and inserting the batteries. I also cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner and a Q tip. It did not fix it. But I just left it off for 2 days meaning to go to the Verizon store and get it fixed or replaced. But I turned it on now and it fixed itself! Model VX8300. Maybe the contact cleaning did it but it had to dry more. You can use a Q Tip dipped in a cup of water with a teaspoon of Mr.Clean. But then rinse it with a water wet Q tip and then dry it with a paper towel. I used contact cleaner.
