There is a mechanical displacement. Lens has been shifted to side. That grinding sounds come because motor pushes lens to retract but something is stopping lens's way.......
So get it serviced. Don't turn it on or off, It increases pressure on motor.....

Casio Exslim EX-Z33: Lens Error Message; Lens stuck

The camera might not of had been dropped or abused at that moment, but it sounds like one of your ribbons is not full connected to its port due to a previous unnoticeable drop or mishandling. In other words, if you are savvy enough to open the camera, remove the ribbons (2 of them, found on the front side of the camera coming from the lens) and re-insert them into their ports. I have only needed to do this once on this particular camera, but at least 30 times on the Exilim line of Casio cameras. Hope this helps.

Dropped the camera, getting a lens error 115,0,0,212

Lens probably does not extend or retract because of a misaligned gear box. The lens can in about 50% of the cases be repaired without having to replace it. Try to return to manufacturer first. If you're out of warranty, there are third party place that fix them such as camera lens repairs. If you want to do it yourself, there are also free camera repair guide websites that show you how to replace the lens, the replacement part is usually available on ebay.

I dropped my camera today. Seems like the lense

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

My nikon 17 to 200 vr lens is suddenly making a little grinding noise when i turn camera on..

Send it in for service. If it was purchased in the USA and you sent in the Nikon extended service contract that comes free in every Nikon USA lens then you have a 5 year warranty that covers most parts and defects. The warranty does not cover abuse, dropping sand damage etc.
