Just go to channel setup and add/delete channel, it should exit the game mode. then do nothing unti the add/delete option exits the bottom of the screen.

Go up to your TV and go into the menu. Go to the channel selection and run the auto select for channels. This will take some time but the TV will end off the first channel found, the only thing is you cannot get back into video mode without the remote

Sorry Sarge...this problem is not that simple...and for some reason these Sylvania tv's won't allow you to access game mode that easy. I think the best idea (assuming the universal remote doesn't work out)...just buy another ORIGIANL remote from the manufacturer! Hooowah!

is there a TV/Video or menu button on the front of the tv? if so try the tv/video button, that should scroll through the the components you have on your tv. dvd, game cable etc. If no tv/video, hit the menu button and then use either channel up/down or volume up/down to scroll through your component options.

Trying to use my tv in game mode without the remote. the remote quit on me and i tried programming a universal remote but no codes work with it. I am trying to hookup dvd player to tv.

for TV You have not provided DVD brand so I cannot include thsat for you.
Most times the game mode can be accessed onscreen via the menu ( buttons on TV) it is usually includd in the Display picture part of the menu

Old Sylvania model #6420FB lost remote how to switch to av mode

Unless the TV has a front-panel menu button and allows you to switch modes from there, you are out of luck. There are two possibilities. One is to try another replacement remote. If you get a universal remote made by the TV manufacturer (Magnavox), it may have buttons that will work. The other option is to purchase an RF converter, which will cost around $15. This will take the video/audio signals from the game and convert it to a channel 3 or 4 signal you can then tune in on the TV. The picture won't be quite as bright and clear as with direct AV input, but it will do the trick.

Sylvania tv input channel with dishnetwork remote

The remote control has a "Game" button, which is how you select the external input. Since you don't have a remote you can select game mode via the front panel Menu button:

1) Press the MENU button so that the menu display appears on the TV screen.
2) Press the VOL(ume) ▲ button so that "PICTURE" is selected.
3) Select the feature you wish to adjust with the CH(annel) ▲ or ▼ button and adjust it with the VOL(ume) ▲ or ▼ button.

GAME MODE: Set to the most suitable position for TV
GAME. [+] : ON [ - ] : OFF

This will place your TV into Game mode and use the front panel video/audio jacks.
