SOURCE: NO HDD RECOVERY AREA !

first boot pc, then right before windows would start, press either F2 or F8,, I think it's F2, this will bring you to bios settings, look for bootup device options, Set cd-rom as first bootup device, then Hard drive as second device, Then save settings, insert recover cd, then restart pc, it will immediately boot up your recover cd or windows disc

You will need your serial number to match against which path to take. They have an "installer" program that will help you get the drivers.

I bought a Toshiba laptop satelite T135-etc I'm trying to make recovery CD, but when I open the recovery media Creator; appear a message which tells no hdd recovery area! \the toshiba recovery disc...

The recovery partition has been deleted somehow. You cannot create a recovery cd on that machine.
Sorry.
P.S. That partition isn't hidden...many think it is.
Again...sorry. Hate to be the bearer of bad news.
Good luck
P.S. You might consider using a program like Clonezilla to make a copy of your drive. Or do a fresh install.

After using recovery disks for toshiba laptop satellite l305d i get error message 10-fa12-045d, please help??

Toshiba recovery error seem likely to be due to a failing/failed HDD. If your laptop is in warranty then visit Toshiba service center. Otherwise try this--------> I would like you to try checking the HDD with an error checking program from floppy or CD or with the drive removed from the laptop and tried in a USB external enclosure in another PC.

If the HDD itself is made by Toshiba (which seems likely) you would need a generic testing program since Toshiba don't provide their own HDD checking program.

HDTune can be used from another PC.

Toshiba a15 s127 laptop message "missing operating system". Tried to reboot using recovery cd. Began okay at first, but then got message "Disk (E) Cannot format primary DOS partition-Bad system area" Does...

You either have bad sectors on your HDD or the recovery CD is scratched. If your recovery CD is clean and not damaged then a new HDD should resolve your problem.
Hope this helps,

When i try to restore my toshiba sattlite with factory recovery disc it shows a error message at the end. 10-fc10-0017

Hi friend,

I think the problem is with the HDD possibly some corrupt partitions.
So it would be advisable and recommend to format the HDD.
Usually this should be done using the Toshiba Recovery DVD but try to format the HDD using an original Windows XP CD.

After HDD was formatted try to start again using the Toshiba Recovery DVD. Note: If it does not work then this is time to change your hard disc :( ... but no other way.. idunno..

I use toshiba satellite A305-S6872 laptop would not load OS

you will most likely have to go into the recovery console to fix the problem or even re-install.

The other two solutions are to either boot up in safe mode to correct the problem by trying to revert back to a saved well working time, or take out pci cards and reboot always taking out another pci card until you find the problem.

if nothing works, re-install or fix in recovery console. <<< or >>>

BEST Solution
at re-install, choose repair windows.

I want to restore my Satellite Pro L310

Hi herteg63,

It seems as though your recovery partition on your laptop has been deleted/corrupted. You can order replacement DVDs to restore your laptop with all of the acer software. Here is the link to the site:

https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

It is also possible to install windows manually with the CD key on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop, if you happen to have Windows OEM CD with the correct service pack. You would need to download and install all of the drivers from the Toshiba website.

You could also bring it to a local PC shop and see if they could do that for you.

In the end ordering the CDs may be the easiest way.

I hope this helps,
Adam.
