Losing one colour probably means failure of electronic components related to the particular colour. It is unlikely adjusting the red settings will fix the problem. Even if it did, the colour balance needs specialist equipment to properly set up.

50HP66 50 in. Plasma Television: i have red dots/shadowing on my tv...

I got the red dots really bad on my toshiba 50hp66 after an hour or two of watching tv. I found out that if you open up the tv in the back on the left you will find two adjustment pots labelled Vsc and Vy. I took a sharpie and marked where the factory defaults were first. Then I adjusted the Vy pot down a little bit and the red spots were gone! My tv looks great again!

I have lost the red colour. Can I adjust this somehow?

OK. IF THE RED COLUR HAS GONE, YOU PROBABLY NEED TO CALL AN EXPERT. LIKE I TOLD SOMEONE ELSE, IF YOU USE A CABLE BOX, ITS PROBABLY THE CABLE BOX. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS HAVE THEM LOOK AT YOUR TV AND YOUR CABLE BOX IF YOU HAVE ONE, AND/OR BUY A NEW TV AND/OR CABLE BOX.

I have a 42" Ultravision TV, and suddenly every thing has gone green, and the reds have gone. I've rebooted the cable system a few times, and it's still green. My other TV is fine, so I'm guessing...

don't run it like that suspect shorted crt or video output try adjusting the screen control for the specific color if no change then it is as mentioned put screen control back to the starting spot.

is the red gone on all inputs? do you have the tv hooked up, to a sat box, cable box via component video (Red, blue, green connections)? if so check the red cable on both ends.
