Hi,
These washer have a motor that runs clockwise and counter clockwise...for agotaion it runs one way and for spinning it runs the other...check if the motor is still getting power, but not running in the one direction...motor is probably bad...

I have a GE washer model# 175D2750G041 after the washer fills up with water and starts to spin to wash it makes a awful noise but only when spinning to wash not spin to drain water . what could it be

Your question is confusing. A washer doesn’t spin when it washes. It agitates. A washer fill with water, agitate, drain then spin water out. Please reword your question.

Washer fills with water but doesn't begin to agitate to wash. It also drains but doesn't spin when we set the dial to that

Your agitator pindle. has come loose From the spline. Try to lift up on the agitator. If it lifts off the spindle easily then it has worn out the spline. That is what connects the agitator to the s

GE PROFILE wprb8050. agitator will not spin. I removed and found the coupler is moving left to right, just will not turn agitaor. it appears to be loose? any suggest?

Hello,

If you can easily spin that agaitor coupler free by hand..its stripped and needs to be replaced. The part number for it is WH49X10042 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;

1.5 year old ge profile washing machine will not agitate or spin

Timer seems to have gone bad. Manually move the timer to make the dryer spin. If you get it to spin and drain then it's your timer.

Does not agitate or spin

Let me make sure I hear your symtoms right..

The washer fills...sound like the motor is running but it doesn't agitate or spin.. then when it tries to drain it bascially gravity feeds out until there is no longer enough water to force it out?

Sounds like the belt is off, or broken.. I am not all that familiar with your model, but I think most GE's are belt drive.

If it were the agitator coupler, the washer would probably still drain..

Pull the front cover off of the washer, you will see the belt and pulleys, make sure it is A: still on the pulleys, and B: tight.

If not, loosen the four bolts on the moter, put the belt on and then slide the motor towards the rear to tighten it.. then tighten the four bolts. They may simply have not tightened the bolts on the motor from factory and the motor slid back loosening the drive belt.

GOOD LUCK!!!

GE profile washing machine won't agitate it spins out, drains,

Pull the agitator out and check the drive collar splines. If you have the model I think you have just pull straight up on the agitator. Once removed you will see the drive collar with a 7/16 head bolt, remove it and pull off the collar.First before pulling it off spin it if splines are stripped it will spin freely.
