I am trying to change my heads on my 98 camaro its a v6.. i have all the bolts out but there is like a glue of some sort and the top partr of the engine wont come up so i can get to the heads. please help!
If you are referring to the intake manifold, be very certain that you have removed all of the bolts from the upper and the lower intake manifolds. Here are some diagrams that might be useful to you.
If you are certain that all of the bolts are removed from the manifolds, then you can break the seal holding the intake manifold by using a large screwdriver, wedge it between the intake manifold and the cylinder head and you should then be able to pry up the intake manifold and get it to break loose.
You did not specify what engine you had so these diagrams are for a 1998 3.8 litre V-6 engine. I hope that they will be of any use to you.
