If you are referring to the intake manifold, be very certain that you have removed all of the bolts from the upper and the lower intake manifolds. Here are some diagrams that might be useful to you.

If you are certain that all of the bolts are removed from the manifolds, then you can break the seal holding the intake manifold by using a large screwdriver, wedge it between the intake manifold and the cylinder head and you should then be able to pry up the intake manifold and get it to break loose.

You did not specify what engine you had so these diagrams are for a 1998 3.8 litre V-6 engine. I hope that they will be of any use to you.changing head gaskets - 8d58a40.gif97f8120.gif332b28c.gif0f0a8e9.gif

What is proper torque settings for thermostat housing, on 1995 VW Eurovan? and oil pan bolts?

The torque setting isn't very high. 7 to 8 ft/lbs (10Nm). If you have a leak on the head gasket, Change The Head Gasket!! Your only delaying the inevitable problem and probably doing extra damage as you do it. Get it sorted now and it will cost you less money compared to fixing it when the gasket fails completely!

How to change and replace valve cover gaskets in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertible 2.7L DOHC V6

You first have to remove the ignition coils or plug wires and then remove the bolts holding the cover to the cylinder head. Discard old gasket. Clean gasket channel of any oil and install new gasket to cover taking care during assembly not to disturb gasket when placing cover back on cylinder head. The rear gasket is much harder to change as the upper plenum must be removed to access this cover. You should have some knowledge of engines if you are going to atempt this repair on your own

I need to know the torque specs for the head gasket for a 96 3.8 chevy camaro

Tighten the cylinder head bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft) in sequence.

Use a torque angle meter to rotate each cylinder head bolt 120 degrees in sequence.

Use a torque angle meter to rotate the four center cylinder head bolts an additional 30 degrees in sequence...

I hope this helps.

How do I replace my valve cover gaskets on my 1992 toy cam v6 3.0

this is relatively easy unbolt the cover from the head (this usually requires a 10 milimeter socket)once unbolted pull the cover off make sure you clean the old gasket off the cover and the head glue the gasket back to the cover and reverse the process used to take it off be careful not to over tighten the new gasket so as not to split it and cause it to leak.
