Power board failed check the main board the 5 volt side may have a few capacitors blown. check all of them as usually when 1 starts to go rest can follow don't cost much to replace. the ones next to the heat sink are first to start to wear out, use the ratings that are on the old capacitors and replace the same 105c temp rating. and rating to failed capacitors, you will see the faulty capacitors they will have blown bowed tops or a liquid on the bottom of them

SOURCE: hello. I got a Lg

First disconnect all power to the TV for about 30 minutes this gives the filter caps time to discharge as this resets the logic section upon power-up. After 30 min try powering back up if you still have the same problem then there's a problem with the power supply board. You may have some caps with high ESR levels which can cause this kind of fault. But it could other components on the power board causing a similar fault like switching transformers that have shorted, or opened either which can cause EDDY Currents which will cause feedback in opto-couplers and shut the TV down. Let me know what results you get after the 30 minute power-down.

First place to check will be the power supply module, need to verify if it is putting out staedy DC first. This can be due to simple thing such as bad caps.

LG 37LC7D 37-inch 720p LCD HDTV

Unplug it for about an hour to let it reset itself and try again, if it still has problem then you will have to open it up or take it to the repair shop. The power supply module will have to be looked at first to make sure all the voltages are present. Right now the 5vdc standby power supply is working and may be partially function processor.

40'' Sony Bravia goes into standby with the light blinking 9 times

I finally managed to solve this problem by unplugging everything - scarts - HDD cables - power etc and left it for an hour. When I turned it back on again the problem had sorted itself out.

TV wont turn on with power button or remote

Try putting the cables back where they were. After that re-route them again but this time use the manuel.
If that doesn't work, consult the TV's manuel.

DELL 42 inch Plasma TV

I have a 42" LG LCD TV and just experienced this today. Watching cable, then the screen went to black, but audio continued. I pressed the guide button on my remote and pic came on with my guide menu. But then went to black again 10sec later and has remained that way for nearly an hour. Tried switching off both cable box and TV, disconnecting and reconnecting cables, but no luck. Finally unplugged mains, waited a minute, then turned back on. Everything seems normal now after the reboot. Phew.
