As you've noted, you'll need to buy a Rock Band disc. You might be able to find one in the used game section of your local video game retailer (Gamestop for example).
Alternatively, you can purchase it online. Here is a link to the PAL version of the game. I linked to the PAL version (on amazon.co.uk) as you mentioned Malaysia in your question, which is a PAL region, and the UK is also a PAL region. The PS2 is region locked so your games must match the same region as your PS2.
If you can't play NTSC games then that means your xbox is probably a PAL version. There's not really much you can do about this except to buy PAL version games :(
BTW, NTSC and PAL refer to different regions. NTSC Is north america, while PAL is usually europe.
What do you mean? Is it an audio file or a game? if its a game check if your PS2 version if its NTSC or PAL version on its main menu. Check the cd for NTSC or PAL. PAL works with PAL and vice versa.
Ok well here is the "Skinny"
1). 20GB has no chrome trim, no memory card reader and no wi-fi. Not manufactured anymore. Has the best backwards compatibility with PS2 games due to Emotion Engine (PS2's CPU) and Graphics Synthesizer (PS2's GPU) installed. 2). NTSC 60GB has the same backwards compatibility as 20GB version, also has memory card reader and wi-fi. Has a chrome trim. 3). 80GB - extended memory, but reduced backwards compatibility with PS2 games, it has only Graphics Synthesizer (PS2's GPU). Around 80% of PS2 games can be played. Available only in NTSC regions. 4). 40GB - can't play PS2 games at all (all PS2 chips were removed), has 2 USBs instead of 4, no memory card reader, has wi-fi. Avalable in black and white colors. White is on sale only in Japan. Uses 65nm technology (lower power consumption). Improved cooling system. It's the latest version. 40GB doesn't support SACD. 5). PAL 60GB - reduced backwards compatibility with PS2 games. it has only Graphics Synthesizer (PS2's GPU). Around 80% of PS2 games can be played. Wi-fi included in all models, except 20GB.
hi, firstly you will have to upgrade the version to play the game and secondly a upgrade is always a good idea, it will speed up, your psp and fix any bugs in the previous firmware and you will be able to play any games you have.
Is it possible that the cartridge is entirely German? Was it an import? or did you purchase it at a local department store? or even, is it one of those 10 in 1 cartridges.
Some PAL games will only run on standard and some will only run in HD and some will run on both if the PS3 is NTSC. The PAL games output at (576i/p) while the NTSC outputs at (480i/p). So honestly, I think that is your problem. You have a NTSC system and PAL games. If you do not have a HDTV then you will need to exchange those games for the NTSC version. Sorry for the bad news. It's not Sony's fault, it's how the game developers coded the games.
I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
NTSC is the video system or standard used in North America and most of South America. In NTSC, 30 frames are transmitted each second. Each frame is made up of 525 individual scan lines.
PAL is the predominant video system or standard mostly used overseas. In PAL, 25 frames are transmitted each second. Each frame is made up of 625 individual scan lines.
Sorry , you cannot play the games
The manual for the Wii console itself can be obtained here
As for changing the language in Wii Sports, I am not sure,
but it usually gives you the option when the game first starts up, otherwise it
might use the system language.
