You need the sound driver I assume for this laptop. If it doesnt match hardware perfectly then nothing will work.
Go to vendors site with your S/N and Model number to locate the exact sound driver.
Have you checked in control panel / sound speech / sounds & audio devices / click on "sounds" blind and see if any of the sounds can be activated by clicking the big black arrow. If greyed out then the driver is not installed.
Si necesitas los driver de tu maquina entra en la pagina web de ella y busca support y lueo buscas Drivers hai podras bajar los drivers que perdistes como audio y multimedia. sino los encuentras escribeme el modelo de tu maquina que yo te ayudo
A lot of times, when downgrading from factory installed operating systems, you run into driver issues because they arent written for any other operating system than what they offer. My best recommendation is to google the component name and desired operating system into google (like AC97 xp driver or ATI Radeon 1300m xp driver). This will take you to a lot of 3rd party sites that have drivers to work for those specific devices. Same thing happened to me with my dell xps 1530. Came with vista, but i wanted xp. Had to scour the dell site to find drivers, but eventually found them. Once you find them, burn them to a disk for later reference.
There is a driver disk that accompanies your system. Install it and this should work fine.
Here is how to install...if you want to not know....
Put the CD in the drive if you get an autorun screen click the appropriate icon [or just click the sound driver icon,if it is there].
If this did not work...try this;
Right click the My computer - click properties - click hardware - device manager
Then click the 'scan for hardware changes' icon.... if a new hardware found message is displayed, then click next and so on until you get it finished.
Note; sometimes BIOS settings prevent audio devices from getting confugred automatically.
so if the udio option is disabled in the BIOS setup you should enable it.
