Buy a new motherboard. sooner or later, you will have another problem in your hardware.

I can't install the audio driver. it shows "install Realtek HD audio driver failure".so what I can do now..plz help me...:(

Hello
Im guessing your using a sound card? Not onboard sound. You need to disable your motherboard sound or onboard sound in the system bios.
Hit the delete key while booting up or the f 12 key.
Once your at the main bios screen find the audio or system audio and disable it.Then it save and exit.Pc will reboot..once its started you should be able to install your sound card drivers.

Where is the sound card located in a dell dimension 1100?

The sound is integrated onto the motherboard in this model, it isn't a separate card.

Where are the audio jumper on board of ms9158e+, i want to disable sound. my new audio card clashes with on board audio.

It probably is *NOT* a "jumper" setting on the motherboard.

Instead, restart the computer, and press DELETE to enter BIOS SETUP MODE.

Navigate through the menus, and you should find some "enable/disable" setting for the "OnBoard AC97 Sound". Disable, and "save settings", and let the computer reboot.

Not installed by windows XP

Is your Sound Card ONBOARD the motherboard ? Check inside the computer and see what MAKE motherboard it is. It is mostly written on the motherboard next to the RAM Memory chips.
Write down the NAME and Model Number and go the the masker's website and doiwnload the sound driver for that specific motherboard

do you have another PCI slot you can remove audio card and try another slot.
If your audio still does'nt work you may need a new audio card

Onboard sound doesn't work

click search, then type dxdiag, click the sound tab and a diagnostic programme will check your sound driver and report any faults
