So guess what, I bet you installed you cartridges when you purchased the printer. The meaning to your error is: "Printer access door has been opened".

How else would you have got the cartridges in. I would recommend not looking at the test pages from printers as they show all error conditions the printer has ever has and never really show the ones that mean anything...

Only yellow is printing

Put the cartridge head in hot water for a minute, the ink may have clogged the print head.

Print job barely visible

Have you tried configuring the settings? I had that problem with an Epson Stylus NX125. I put in all new cartridges, went to properties and tried all options. setting it to black & white, then to color and the greytone. Printing samples after each change. I finally came up with an acceptable print after moving it back to color.

Hp CP1215 print barely visible

Check in the printer 'preferences' and see if it is set to 'draft' printing.
also check the -Advanced- tab for a possible -Toner Save Mode- option.

Printer not printing at all

Though there was no message to indicate toner issues, I changed the cartridge anyway. That must have been the problem. It works now. The old cartridge was 3 years old and, though barely used, may have outlived its quality. Thanks for writing back.
