Lines appear on screen and picture breaks up

My Philips DCP750 seems to run into a problem where while watching a movie, whether it be DVD or Ipod Video, there are lines running through the screen and the picture breaks up. At first, I thought it was due to the battery running low, but even with the power plugged in, the same thing happens.

If I restart the DVD player, it will OK for a little bit and then it happens again. I've tried multiple DVD's (Thinking that one was scratched and that was the problem), but that didn't seem to make a difference

Any thoughts on what the issue could be?

Philips DCP750/37 shows "wrong region"

Australian players are designed only to play Region 4 discs. United States discs are Region 1. It is illegal to change the Region code on a DVD player, so I can't tell you how to do it (ironically, it is the most frequently asked question about dvd players on Fixya.com - global world), but there are videos on YouTube that will show you how to do it - I would just enter "philips region code dvd" as your seacrh term. You won't find that exact model, but one of the codes in the video should work. Note that you will only be able to change the region code three times on a Philips - after that you will be locked out. So change it to Region 1 once, and never change it again.

Philip DCP750/37 turn black and white

I have had this problem all you do it wobble the screen back and forth until you find the right spot. if that doesnt work. unplug it from the charger assuming it is plugged in. If THAT doesnt work, believe me a little "thwap" on the back will.

Ipod software problem - Appel 160gb Classic

I think you need the third party software to help play the dvd on ipod. Convert the dvd to ipod format first and then try to play the dvd on ipod.

Docking problem

It is a problem with the latest version on IPOD... Rolling back previuos version will work, but I don't know if we're loosing features on IPOD enhacements.

I do have the same problem and I am in process to send a Help Request either to MAC IPOD and/or Philps to get together and offer an solution.

Seems that you have to go into setup and look at the Closed Captioned screen set up.
