SCREEN HAS GREEN AND RED - Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television

protron pltv-27 cm screen lights up then green comes on and turns red no signal.

my HD LCD used to turn grey on my 360 so i just turned it off then back on for the results but of coures it could be the LCD is dying

Are you sure its green red green red or is it green orange green orange?


Because according to apple, it doesnt have a sequence for green red green red..... either way, you can see what the different lights mean here..

Your projection tv screen is made up of a mixture of red, green, and blue. If you are starting to see more green than any other, that means the red and blue light guns are warn out. This will be more expensive to repair than buying a new tv. :(

yOUR CRTS ARE SHOWING THE SIGHNS OF WEAR. ON THE FRONT OF THE SET BEHIND THE SPEAKER GRILL OR FRONT FACIAL. THERE ARE 6 CONTROLS 3 FOR SCREEN RED GREEN AND BLUE AND 3 FOR FOCUS RED GREEN AND BLUE. YOU CAN TRY TURNING THE RED SCREEN DRIVE CONTRIL COUNTER CLOCK WISE. JUST A VERY LITTLE BIT.

Suspect Convergence IC's STK4274, part Number 2003191. Replace all three IK04(red), IK05(green), IK06(blue).

Intermittently displays bright red/green/blue raster then shuts down with led flashing 2, 4 or 5 times
Amazingly this was due to the CRT being faulty !

Blank raster
Replace defective TDA6111Q for Red, Blue and green

Red or Green or Blue screen
Check and replace on crt module : D702, D703, D704 (all 1N4148) replace with type 1N4948T

Dead, led flashing red/green at first, then going to red standby
Replace C604 (1000uF, 16v) elec. cap. It is in the decoupling circuit for the 5 volt supply

i have found when samsangs convergence are out of range perfect focus will fail. if the are out of range a technician will try to adjust the set in service mode. store these values and then this will be the base for the perfect focus. If the set has a bad convergence cuircit then they have to be replaced.

Red and blue present, but no green = bad green CRT is
best guess.Remove lower front panel = adjust screen and focus
controls for best pix..................T.
