Unplug the machine. Fill the water tank, and drip a little water into the out-spout to prime the pump.
The auto-off feature is designed to protect the pump from running dry and burning out. *Some models had a reset button on the rear, if yours has it then use it.
Plug the machine back in and give it a try...once the pump sensor acknowledges water, it will reset.

Place a bowl underneath the milk carafe dispenser and the dispensing spout.
Pull out the milk carafe dispenser to the right up to the " " icon.
Press the " " button to start the descaling cycle.
The machine will start dispensing the descaling solution at intervals. The bar on the display shows the progress. This takes about no moro then 25 minutes.
After starting the machine press all 4 lit buttons on the top of the machine simultaneously for a few seconds. That will reset the volumes to factory settings. Decalcify your machine according to the manual provided with the decalcifying kit and the special nozzle for the milk steamer.
If if that does not work fill the water tank and the (clean) milk frother container with the 50/50 decalcifying solution + water and install as usual for making cappuccino (without a coffee capsule). Turn on machine and when the buttons light up press the large cappuccino button. Instead of cappucino you will get hopefully any of the residue from the entire system flushed out. Repeat until you used up the decalcifying solution in both containers. Discard and rinse a couple of times with clear water in both containers. Good luck - worked for my machine.

This is telling you that it is time to clean the coffee maker. Press the minute and hour buttons at the same time and hold untl the light stops flashing. Take out the water filter and fill the water tank to 10 cups and add 2 cups of white vinegar. Put the water tank back in, without the water filter. Take out the permenant coffee filter. Turn it on and leave it until about half the water goes through. Turn it off. Let it sit for about an hour, then finish the job. Then, run 2 pots of clean water through. You are good. It will notify you to clean your system every 40 pots or so.
DESCALING
The Saphira has an integrated descaling program. The procedure takes about 60 minutes.
Once started, the descaling procedure may not be stopped.
• When acid-containing descalers are used, immediately remove any splashes or drops on
sensitive surfaces, particularly from natural stone and wood surfaces. Also, take the appropriate safety
precautions.
• Turn off the Saphira by pressing the "ON/OFF" button.
• Press the button "Descale" until an acoustic signal is heard.
