Ringing symbol on line b

Hi,

There seems to be an issue with this phone that wont go away. The ringing symbol seems to be stuck on line b therefore the line is constantly jammed.

Noone can call in. When they do it goes straight to voicemail. When the phone is replaced

When you are talking to someone, and you hang up the handset, does it actually disconnect the caller?

When i call certain contacts it rings 3 times then goes to voicemail

Once you call people on there mobile phone others pre set there own ringing therefore u will find that some calls have longer dialling tones and others may have shorter
It all depends on the individuals mobile ringing settings
U can control ur own via applying a ringing that's continuous with minimal pauses but can't change other people's ringing length unless u have access to there phone

Hi would like to know how to set an extension not to ring when any of the co lines is ringing since i have a fax machine connected to this extension and it is programmed to answer automatically

Ringing for each extension and line is done in Panasonic system programming commands 408-410 for Day/Night/Lunch. You turn off ringing for all lines to your fax extension and then just turn on one line for that phone.

Be sure to turn off or delay the fax line ringing to all the other extensions at the same time.

I HAVE THE MERLIN PHONE SYSTEM 820D2 I WOULD LIKE TO SILENCE CERTAIN NUMBERS FROM RINGING. HOW DO I DO THAT?

Now that's an oldie :-) I have the instructions squirreled away right here

Here's how to program line ringing:

• go to the voice terminal whose line ringing you want to program

• slide T/P switch toward you

• touch a line button (note red lights)

• touch the button again until correct code appears:

RED ON = Ring

RED FLASH = Delayed Ring

RED OFF = No Ring

• repeat this procedure for each line

• return T/P switch to center position.

Hi: I have a Panasonic KX-T7420 phone. When one of the incoming lines is ringing and I pick up the handset, it picks up the intercom and not the incoming line. Is there a way to get the thing to answer...

There are 2 things that would prevent you from being able to answer a ringing phone by picking up the handset. Your phone has to be ringing, and you need to set preferred line ringing on incoming calls.

The second part is easy. Press PROGRAM 99 and dial 22 STORE on your phone. Now when a call rings on your phone you can pick it up. If you can't, then your phone is not ringing.

Ringing is set in system programming.

Caller id not working on only 1 phone

It's a good bet that that telephone doesn't ring therefore the system won't pass on the caller id information.
Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout

Hi,

If the line 2 is selected you wont able to recieve or make call..

To change to line 1 , press and hold the # or the * button, you should get LINE 1 in display

Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance or please leave rate this solution

Mitel 5220 IP phone won't ring when the main line is ringing

WOW
Ok this post is OLD, but for anyone else having this issue, this is the solution...

There is a programming feature that states: DELAYED RING on certain lines, meaning you can physically see a call coming in to the system (via line flashing), but it will not ring at your desk till something like the 4th ring(hence the name DELAYED ring).

If your set does not ring, and you pick up the heandset, the phone system doesn't know if you want to answer the call -or- you just want to make an outgoing call...
Therefore the Mitel system picks up internal dialtone and waits for you to make the initial reaction (hit 9 for a line out or hit a line that is flashing on the set).

Too change this option, a Mitel Tech is required...
