Magnavox 15MF400T/37 Channel chosen is not correct channel

For some reason unkown to me, now when I choose Channel 4, instead of bringing up the network that is Channel 4, it brings up Channel 20. Channel 20 is still correct. Channel 4 still says it's Channel 4 when you click on Display. What happened? What caused it to swap or change? Other TVs in the house are still correct, so it is not caused by Verizon.

Check the instrucitons to verify if the channel table is pre-setable to designate your own numbers.

Most TV sets have an autoprogramming for the channels. Look in the menu for the auto programming and let the set re-program the channels if your set has that option. This feature will re-program the channals, and re-set their defaults.

If the channels are not able to be pre-setable to a custom table, then this indicates that there is a pre-scaling fault in the tuner or in the uPC. In this case, the set will need service.

Could your remote possibly need new batteries? Sometimes remotes act erratic when in need of them. Check that out and see if that is the reason for your problem. Luck!

Some channels have no color or sound

once a signal falls below a certain threshold the color will be lost.
some sets are more sensitive to this loss.
if you see static in the picture on any of the channels then the cable is leaking and needs replaced /tightened.
if a local air broadcast is leaking into a same cable channel on the cable you will get poor to no reception on that channel.
for example : he we have a local channel 7 on the air.
if i tune to cable 7 and see a weak or distorted pic then the cable is leaking and needs replaced.
