Press the button to switch from steam to hot water, then push in on button, if that works then the tap rod assembly needs to be replaced, also check the ens of the steam nozzle, male sure it is not blocked.

Keep getting ventilate message - won't ventilate and cannot operate steam or grinder w/ ventilate message

Try this run the hot water cycle for a few seconds, it that works, try steaming if you get the message again clear it by running the hot water cycle and then go to steaming, this time push in on the knob after you open it, it that works, then the tap rod or the valve assembly needs to be replaced.

Led reads "ventilate". What do I do?

Hi
Ventilate means that you need to run water through the system.. Open the knob on the right side of the machine if it a Master 5000, or push the right button and light it up, then open the knob if its a Palazzo.

After I primed the machine the digital read out continues to say ''Need to Prime'' and all else has ceased to work including hot water dispensing.

Try this open the hot water valve, when the display reads ventilate, push in the knob on the valve, if water is then released then the tap rod assembly needs to be replaced.

Saeco royal cappuchino ventilate

Alternatively, try draining the machine. Page 37 of the user manual, Drainage. Place cup under the steam/hot water tube, turn knob clockwise around to 9. If the pump is ok, it will start automatically and start filling the cup. Drain about 1/2 cup of hot water and return knob counterclockwise to start position. If the flow meter is not damaged, the Ventilate message should be gone.
