If u cant locate the drivers name, try using unix base(linux) live cd's, like knoppix for example, they usally detect all the drivers u have in minutes and even gives u all the names and serial numbers, then u can download them.

I cannot find a driver anywhere for my belkin f5u098 ide raid controller.

The drivers for this ATA Controller Card are resident in Windows, just like the Motherboard's onboard ATA/IDE Controller. If they don't autodetect and load make sure you are running at least Service Pack 2 for Windows XP and SP4 for Win 2000. Vista and later will have resident drivers.

Vista drivers needed for Ultra ATA/133 IDE RIAD controller card

You can plug it in and see if Vista can use any of its drivers for it. In many cases it has drivers for the chipset on the card which will work perfectly well with the device.

HDD unable to detect at My Computer

Well first I would pull the hard drive out of the case. I would then get a USB to IDE/SATA drive cable. I would connect the drive not being able to be detected to another computer via USB.

If it works the drive is still good but the data might be corrupt. If the data is corrupt I would be sure to get any stuff you can off of it and basically reformat and reload.

Hello, I have a PCI Ultra Ata/133 Dual IDE card. I have two Ide devices hooked to it. Everytime I hook it up in the system My regular Motherboard IDE says can't be read, reboot. I am trying to get not Raid...

Sounds like the system is trying to boot from the drives attached to the controller. Go into your setup and make sure the system is set to boot from the proper drive.

Installing a 2 port ATA-133 IDE adapter card to a desktop w/a hard drive & DVD

I don't think you can boot off of the ATA-133 so you will have to boot off of the IDE on the mobo and have the DVD drive jumpered cable select on the 2nd IDE. Boot that way to make sure the system boots. Shut down. Then instll the ATA-133 adapter with NO DRIVES on it and boot. The system should ask you for drivers for the new hardware. Intall the drivers. Shut down. Attach the new drives to the ATA-133. Reboot. You still might have to go into admin in windows and assign drive letters to the new drives. Anyway, if you are trying to boot off of a drive on the ATA-133 adapter, I don't think you can do it. I have mostly used Asus boards with Award Bios and there was no way to point the boot process to an add-on ATA Controller.
