I have an alpine mrv-f307 4/3/2 channel. I have it hooked up to 2 12in Kenwood subs. Right now standard 2 channel each sub having their own. I heard doing a series hook up and bridging the subs to the amp ...

Bridging an amplifier refers to combining the power of two channels to run one speaker at higher power. If it is wired correctly, your amplifier is running with 4 channels bridged into 2 speakers now.

Just want to know what speaker wattage matches my v12 mrv f705 85 rms x4 channel amplifier?

Use speakers that will handle 85 RMS continuous or higher wattage. I have 200 watt Rockford 6.5s on a 75 watt amp. They sound great with plenty of headroom if I go to a bigger amp.

How do I bridge this amp to run a single sub?

  • To bridge 1 sub with a Alpine MRV-100M amp you run the negative and positive wires coming from the speaker to the outside terminals on the AMP respectively.

How 2 bridage an alpine n a kenwood togethes

you cannot bridge them together. if they are bridgeable, you can bridge one amp to one speaker and the other amp to the other speaker. make sure not to go lower than the required ohm for each amp. also, you probably will get a different output wattage for each amp.

Over heating problem

"how do i made amp ohm instead of 4"
What?
I think you're asking how to make the amp 2 ohm. If your 12's are already wired for 2 ohm, just connect the 2 leads to the bridged terminals on the amp. There will be 4 connections on the amp. One for each channel. Usually, the two outside terminals (one positive and one negative) are the bridge and it'll be noted with a line painted on the surface above the terminals. That's all you have to do.
If it is overheating, you should put cooling fans on it.

Need to know how to wire Alpine 12" 1242D 4ohm Want to use 1 speaker in ported box with Phoenix gold 2200pro amp

As long as the total wattage of the amp does not exceed the total wattage of the speaker, you can bridge the amp. To do this, put the positive wire of the speaker on the positive terminal of channel 1 on the amp, and the speaker negative wire on the negative terminal of channel 2. This allows you to run the amp's full power into one speaker.

MRV - 1507 Question ...

The MRV-1507 is a two channel amplifier, below I've pasted important info from the manual:

Battery Lead (Sold Separately)
Be sure to add a 80 amp fuse as close as possible
to the battery’s positive (+) terminal. This fuse will
protect your vehicle’s electrical system in case of a
short circuit. If you need to extend this lead, the wire
gauge should be AWG8 or larger.
MRV-1507 ... 80A amp fuse

Power Output: RMS Continuous Power (at 12.0V, 20 Hz to 20
kHz)
MRV-1507
Per channel into 4 ohms ......................... 150W, 0.08% THD
Per channel into 2 ohms .......................... 300W, 0.3% THD
Bridged into 4 ohms ................................ 600W, 0.3% THD

You can find a manual for this amp here:

Need a part for my alpine mrv-f407 amp

as far as i know, nobody stocks or sells replacement cases for this amplifier, your best bet would be to search for a good dead one on ebay or somewhere similar... failing that, you can take the case apart and use an aluminum or metal paint to repaint it after sanding it. the reason for using a metal paint is that most regular paints will have an unwanted insulating effect and not allow the case to perform its intended purpose, giant heatsink. you can also try to use metal polishes or an extremely fine grit sand paper (1000-2000 grit) to remove any scuffs and polish it at the same time, but this will remove any factory paint. i believe krylon or one of the other brands makes a metal tint paint that is translucent, i have used it to color match amps to cars and it seems to work well. it can be found at just about any napa or other automotive shop and i believe it is intended for wheels, bumpers, etc.

hope this helps,
trin
