These are mass produced radios which although serial numbered inside under batterys - it is very unlikely that you will trace an owner. cheap and cheerful radios dont usually attract the effort to register

Where can I buy repair parts for my Motorola T5720 Talkabout radio?

So sorry, parts have never been available for the TalkAbout line of radios (other than TalkAbout Distance & DPS). If you are looking to repair an existing T5720 unit, your best option would be to locate a like-model for parts. eBay can be a good source.

As for replacement batteries and accessories you can use the Motorola TalkAbout Accessory Store.

Best regards.

Need an owner / operator manual for a motorola sport SS radio. does anyone know where i can find / download one?

The Sport SS, is very similar to the Sport 7X, Sport 10X and the TalkAbout Distance radios. We were unable to locate the exact manual for the SS model. Here is a link to the TalkAbout Distance radio which may help: http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/SCANNERS-F-R/Motorola_Distance%20UHF%20Porto_Manual.pdf

Need to program in 1-10 frequency...is this possible ?

Okay, I'm going to attempt to assist you with this. If your TalkAbout 200 has a screen showing your channel number and a smaller number in the upper right. It is possible your radio could be programmed to match another TalkAbout or FRS (family radio service) style radio. I cannot find an owners manual in English for the T200. Here is one you can translate from Czech http://www.cbradio.cz/doc/Motorola/PMR%20TA200/manual.pdf (Simply copy and paste this into a google search with the word translate in front of it.) It will give you the instructions for reprogramming your "interference eliminator code", aka CTCSS. Your radio has 14 built in frequencies. From your explanation I would assume you need your BIG number to be 1, and your small number to be 10.

If your TalkAbout does not have a screen, you will not be able to do the CTCSS #10. It is a CSQ model only.

Sidenote: If the other radios you are wanting to talk to are NOT FRS-type or TalkAbout radios, your radio will not match them.

Motorola talkabout 200

Here is a link to the TA280 manual, which is similar to the TA200, http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T280_User_Manual.pdf

Funny thing, I haven't found the TA200 manual in English. Here it is in Czech: http://www.cbradio.cz/doc/Motorola/PMR%20TA200/manual.pdf If you do a google search, you can find the page and have it translated. I'll keep looking, and if I find it in English, I'll repost.

Motorola talkabout sx700

Check your "code" setting. You may be on the same channel, but different codes. The code is the smaller number. Check your owners manual if you have one for resetting the radio to the factory default settings. This will clear any programming issues.

Motorola Talkabout

Hello trailrunner,

Back when Family Radios first came out a number of manufacturers came out with both standard 14 channel radios and scaled-down single channel radios designed as entry level offerings. My guess is the radio you have is probably a single channel unit based on what you describe. It probably operates on FRS channel 1 (462.5625 MHz).

If you post the model number and FCC ID number (which should be located on a sticker on the back of the radio) I might be able to give you some more information.

Best Regards,
Ken
