You likely have some capacitors bad in the power supply and/or inverter sections of the TV. The parts are not expensive, but they have to be tested, unsoldered and replaced, requiring the aid of a technican with good soldering skills.
the power supply board is going bad. sorry! if you google "samsung power click capacitor" you will see just what is wrong.Next time buy american, wait, there is no american made TV's
Samsung only makes TVs that last 2 years, mine also has the same problem. Throw it away and buy a cheaper disposable TV, despite all the hype Samsung is just another cheap and nasty manufacturer who uses its customers as product testers. Why do you think they keep changing model numbers every week ?
take bulp vent cover off rear of tv. there is a little plastic switch that gets pressed in by this cover. i taped mine in because the cover wasnt pressing it in all the way and causing tv to shut off all the time. havent had a problem since.
