Have a panasonic 47" HDL projection tv..under 5 years old model # pt-47wx53g, chassis Ap 825,manufactured August 2003 Purchased Oct. 2003. Have cable service..TV works fine until 2 weeks ago. Screen went black and no audio. When I try to turn the tv on 3 red blinks push off get 3 red blinks, infact get 3 red blinks nothing for 10 seconds & get 3 red blinks ongoing??? can't turn on or off

3 blinks means the convergence circuits are shutting the set down. Usually the convergence ICs will take care of the problem, but I would recommend getting the service manual from the following link, as they will provide you free support to help you diagnose why it wont start as usually the convergence ICs wont prevent a set from powering up, unless another component in the convergence circuit has failed.

Part is C509 located on D board:

It is a .47 @ 200 volts and the location is marked top and bottom on the board.

Examine the attached photos (cap has been removed but you will see exactly where it is located).

You have to remove all the cables and screws first...if you not sure how its done you can goto sites like www.TvRepairKits.com that have the parts and instructions to fix this yourself. Its a common failure on projection TV sets.

I need a lamp for a Pt-47WX53G set with an AP825 chassis. Can someone give me the correct part number?

This is a rear projection TV set. Therefore it has three CRT's in it and not a lamp or bulb like you see in a DLP tv. If tv isn't turning on it is most likely a convergence or power supply issue.

If you think you need a CRT then the part number is on the side of the CRT at the top. These are not easy to replace and are quite dangerous to handle if you have no experience.

I would not recommend any novice to attempt a CRT replacement.

Its a repair you can do yourself for under 40.00 if you can solder . You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-110. You can get replacement ICs at the following link with free instalation instructions with pictures. TV shops generally charge between 400 and 600.00 for this repair which takes about an hour.

My Vizio D32f-F1 TV won't turn on. Any suggestions? The LED does not turn on or even blink. I opened it up and found no obvious visual problem or smell. I disconnected the two cables from the power board ADTVI1206XA7 and with AC coming to the board I found 12V at the 8-pin connector, but not 5V. I figured the power board was bad probably wrong and installed a replacement board, which did not change any of this. With the cables attached to the replacement power board, cycling the power switch on/off did not change anything--doesn't turn on, no LED/no blink.
