Both the ink and paper flashed rapidly at the same time.

After intense searching on the net, I tried just about everything. SSC service utility did
Nothing. Turning printer off and on also didn’t help.

Turning printer off then pressing the paper and ink buttons, then turning power on, then waiting for both lights to flash, releasing them and pressing the ink button for 10 seconds also didn’t help.

After days of this I got frustrated, packed the POS back into the box and put it up for sale
On Craigslist. No takers… I was about to put it out to the curb ($540 printer sat in the box for almost a year) but decided to do one last google and found someone talking about the print head moving along the rail.

Suggestion was to turn printer off and see if print head traveled freely back and forth. Ok I thought, Pulled the printer back out of the box and set it up again. Reinstalled software and turned it on. Red lights flashing again! Ok, press the ink button to move head to home, then turn printer off. Then I tried to move head along rail. It moved freely a couple of inches to the left then stopped like something was blocking it.

Took my flashlight out and could not see anything in the way so pushed down on the cartridge cover and heard a “click”….. Duh! The freakin’ cover was not closed! Now the head would move left and right all the way so I turned the printer on and to my amazement NO more flashing red lights! I was both thrilled and depressed (at my stupidity) for not seeing this earlier.

I will post this everywhere I can to remind people that the cartridge cover is the FIRST thing you should check upon seeing both red lights flashing rapidly!!!!!

If both red and green lights are blinking, it usually means that your waste ink pads need replacing. This requires dismantling of the printer and resetting of the protection counter. If you feel up to it, respond with your e-mail address and I will send you instructions - but it's not easy.

Hi there. I managed to find an excellent resource that should help you solve your problem. Try the suggestions given here http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/24337 i would start with "holding both paper and ink buttons then powering on untill the paper light flashes and then holding the ink button for 10 secs" Let me know if this helped. Blinking power light, shows, offline, and will not print

Blinking power light can be either out of paper or out of ink. Have you checked Paper and Ink levels?

I replaced my black cartridge and now my ink/paper light remains lit and when i press it, after a few noises, the green power light begins to blink. i have recently replaced the color cartridge as well.

It is important for you to post the make of your printer. Anyway, it sounds like your new cartridge is faulty, which is not unusual. First of all, turn your machine off, unplug it, wait a minute, then plug it in and turn it on. If the problem is still there, try another new cartridge. If the problem goes away, get a refund for the one you just replaced.

Hp deskjet D4155...Both power and arrow lights are blinking and I have tryed turning it off and un-plugging the printer multiple times, Every time is comes on, they both are still blinking. Please help....

Please remove the ink cartridges, unplug the power cord. You may also remove the paper from the paper tray. Now, try inserting the cartridge as well.. after about 20 seconds, plug in the power..

put in the paper, and ensure that you have inserted the paper properly. Then insert the ink cartridge. This should resolve the problem.
But if the light is still blinking , try by replacing the ink cartridge.

Hp Besiness inkjet 1100 fault codes cayan maginta ink and paper lights come on dead

HP Business Inkjet 1100 stops everytime after the first line stars to print. The power is one, the ink drop light is lit, the "yellow" indicator light also on, and the paper light all on. None of them blinking. We replaced the yellow cartridge with a brand new HP 11 yellow cartridge. Turned the printer off and on to reset. Printer comes on everything looks good till you try to print anything, even a on line word doc? Then it happens again, so we replaced the yellow again...same thing. We ever cleaned print heads, Any assistance would be welcomed?

Blinking both the ink botton ligths and the botton paper

I just today threw away my R220. If your 2 red lights are going and the power light is off, then your printer has died. It just happened to me. It sucks, but there is no way to fix it.

It will not print.

Hi Greenhorn, Your info is slightly conflicting - I think. As I remember the C60 has just 2 LED's: 1 - Green for Power 2 - Red for Error The third button - Cartridge exchange - has no LED Now it is a while since I looked at a C60 and my brain leaks like a sieve, but that's the way I remember it and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. The error codes I remember are: Printer status - Indicators - Priority Power - Error Power ON condition On - Ink sequence Blink - Ink Cartridge change mode Blink - Data processing Blink - Paper Out *1 - On Paper jam condition *1 - On Ink end (Black) *1 - On -> Blink Ink level low (Black) - Blink-> Blink Ink end (Color) *1 - On -> Blink2 Ink level low (Color) - Blink-> Blink2 Ink end (Black and Color) - On -> On No Ink Cartridge (Black or Color) *1 - On Maintenance request (Ink Overflow Countererror) *1 Alt Blink Alt Blink Fatal error *1 Off On Special setting Blink2 Blink2
