Hi,
Unfortunately if they are knobs they may still be "live" when the panel is locked. To be sure try one of the burners when the panel is locked to see if it comes on. If they do come on, you can get knob covers at most hardware stores that work well.

The control panel on my jenn air fridge model # jfc2089htb is not responding and I cannot adjust any setting. Fridge is stuck at 44f and freezer -1f

A simple reason could be the control panel is locked (child/safety lock) - look for a small lock symbol in the display.

Child safety lock is on, how do I unlock it?

The child safety lock on the car doors is usually controlled by a switch that is located along the outside edge of the door. Open the door and look along the outside edge of the door for a small switch. This switch sets the child safety lock to on or off. The switch may look similar to the photo I've included. If you still cannot find the child safety lock, please check the owner's manual for your car.

Turn off child lock

Setting child lock
The child lock can be set to prevent a programme being accidentally started or a programme in operation being accidentally changed. The child lock function locks all buttons and the programme knob. The child lock can be activated or deactivated by holding down the OPTION and OK buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

  • Before programme is started: Appliance cannot be used
  • After programme is started: Programme in operation cannot be changed
The icon appears in the display to indicate that the child safety device is activated. The child safety device is not deactivated once the programme comes to an end. If you want to set a new programme, you must first deactivate the child safety device.
