I have pro 135 from radio shack. How do I reset it and keep the channels that are programed in it?

Check your squelch lvl. it might have gotten turned down and wont get past the one channel talking or not.

If husband reset the scanner, it will have to be totally reprogrammed. If you dont have the manual for programming, try this site. RadioShack PRO 2018 200 Channel Conventional Desktop Scanner Cat No 20...

1. 1. Press "MAN."
   
2. 2. Press "ENT/PGM" to put the scanner in programming mode. You will see PGM appears.
3. 3. Use the number keys to enter both the channel storage bank and the channel number you want to assign to a frequency.
4. 4. Press "MAN."
5. 5. Use the number keys to enter the frequency and don't forget decimal point.
6. 6. Press "ENT/PGM" to store the frequency into the channel.
7. 7. you just stored a frequency into a channel. Repeat steps above until you have your scanner programmed how you want.

hi have you tried turning the squelch fully clockwise

To RESET the scanner and delete ALL programmed frequencies:
- Power the scanner OFF
- Press and hold the 2, 9, and PSE keys and power the scanner ON.

To delete a single frequency, program 0.0 into the channel - or program a new frequency into the channel (this will automatically override the old frequency).

The ERROR message normally indicates that you've entered a frequency that's out of the scanner's tuning range. Check your manual to confirm that your frequencies are within the unit's reception capabilities. If the freq is in range and the problem continues, you may need to RESET or INITIALIZE the scanner to restore it to its original factory settings.

To RESET the PRO-135:
1. Power the scanner OFF.
2. While holding in the 2, 9 and PSE keys, power the scanner on. The process takes about 3 seconds to complete.

To INITIALIZE the scanner:
1. Power the scanner OFF
2. While holding in the 3, ENT, and PGM keys, power the scanner ON.
NOTE: The INITIALIZE process will delete/erase all of the information that you've programmed into the scanner.

Your reset wiped out all programmed frequencies, leaving "000.0000" in each channel. That automatically sets the LOCKOUT icon, but it will clear when you program a frequency into the channel. You can download and print your scanner manual here:
