Welcome to Fixya. This is repairable but it will depends on the damage of the docking station. It can be that one or more part is damage after your friends wiggled his iPad. If you have a warranty of the product you can send it for repair or you can just bring it to a local service center that fix audio device and they will be able to provide you the problem and the cost of the repair.
This happened to me also. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I brought it back to the store and they said it couldnt be fixed. Sorry but it look like you will have to get a new one, but they might give you your money back on this one depending on how long you had it for.
the part were my ipod plug into Sonic Impact i-Fusion is very loose and at times will not play music- I need to put presser on the ipod to play music - how can I fix this loose ipod plug in?
The battery is rechargable for about 400x. If you leave it on the charger too long or never let the battery run down it will shorten its life span. Sonic Impact no longer sells the replacement battery unit through their website and I have been looking for replacements myself. the problem is this: the battery unit is integrated with the battery cover and can not be separated. So you need the actual Sonic Impact battery, and they have not responded to any emails, requests for customer support or phone calls. Good luck.
