Hi
On that model to save water and energy water is sent to bottom and middle spray arms alternately. This is done via a shutter in the circulation motor. F85 mean this shutter is jammed,Most likely with debris,But is possible motor is faulty

If it like other Mieles, it has an element to heat water if required to reach cleaning temperature, but does not have a drying element. Even then, it should give off some heat in the drying cycle and be hot after finishing.
In my case, F14 appeared when the waste pump was not be able to exctract the waste liquids. This happened because lemon kernels (that I use to remove bad smells) has clog the non return valve and the circulation pump passage way. I followed the directions from manual to clean the valve. I found about 30 lemon kernels on the bottom of the dishwasher. After the kernels removal and valve cleaning and refitting, my dishwasher operated as usual.
disconnect the pump and check for a blockage in your pump assembly or the drain hose itself the error refers to a shutter on the pump either being blocked or not opening if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick
Hey Berni,
I've been having the same problem for quite sometime with my Touchtronic G 892 SC. It goes away if I open up the cabinet under the sink and wiggle the water inlet hose where it's connected to the dishwasher's "backflow" water inlet. I'm getting ready to disconnect the fitting and see if there's lime (or some other type) of buildup in the filter screen. I don't know what else it could be. I'll try to follow-up when finished with this task.
Mike
Mine is doing the same thing. I tried running a finish cleaner though a cycle. I did nothing I was about to do the same thing again when it just stopped doing it. What did you end up doing?
pump maybe on it's way out, though i doubt it, is the washing machine on the same drain out? if so you may have back wash, another could be lengh of drain hose, i had the same problem with my miele dishwasher because of the position in the kitchen i doubled up the drain hose and though it pumped out fine, with the volume of water left in the hose it came back in untill i repositioned the drain hose so it could't run back, hope this helps.
