Mf5650 drivers for win7 64 bit where can i download this drivers. my printer is at this stage useless

I had the same problem when I upgraded to Windows 7. The printer is still fully functional & it does everything I need it to do, so there is no point replacing it at this time. I eventually gave up on the 64 bit version of Windows 7 & installed the 32-bit version.

Try installing the MF5730 drivers instead.
http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0037099.asp
It has x64 version available.
Protocol for printing is same, CANON CARPS.
I have installed on windows 7 x64, made a test print. It works.
You have to manually install the printer and look for the driver
by showing the unpacked MF5700 files to the installer.
Basically, you will force the system to believe that it is an MF5700 printer.
Please note however, I have not tested scanning or faxing.

Yes, that happens. Not all printers will work with the newer OS. Go to Canon.com and see if they have updated drivers for your unit, if not, it is replacement time, Consider a network capable printer, they all users can use the printer as if they hosted it...

Trying to re-install my deskjet f4180 because it was not scanning. Having problem at final stage installing driver. I have a vista pc.
you may have installed an xp driver instead of for vista. try so search for a vista compatible driver. take note if it is 32-bit or 64-bit then download it from hp's website.
