My Samsung SyncMaster 910MP has thin colored lines all over the screen, both horizontally and vertically. this problem came up instantly. Any ideas where i can look for this failure ? Unfortunately i don´t have any circuit diagram.

Hook a spare monitor to the computer to insure there is no problem, if everything checks out okay,the problem is in the Samsung screen display and is not cost effective to repair, far cheaper to buy new. But if both screens show the same problem, it is a video graphics card issue in the computer, one further thing if the video cord is detachable from both ends, sub another cord.

Once you have stripes or lines in the screen then the only solution is to get the screen replaced but that would cost just as much or even more then getting a whole new monitor.

Type 910mp in the search dialog box.
Select Download English Manual. It's about 20mb.
The manual has instructions for setup including adjusting your monitor. There is even a section troubleshooting and a self-test. Good Luck.
