Most all VCR players have auto tracking. When cassette is in the machine it will do the tracking for you. Sometimes a manual adjustment may be need if the player can’t find the right track for itself. When this happens it is usually a problem with the tape. Manual tracking adjustments are made on the player itself and not on the remote control. If you can’t find anything on the player that reads ‘tracking’, find it in the user guide. Sometimes cleaning the heads will solve the problem especially if all the tapes have the same issue.
I realize this question was asked a long time ago, but I'll post a photo now anyway in case someone else has this same question. The drive in this machine and also in the RX-FT560 has two belts. The long one makes the capstans go around, and the short one makes the take up reals move. In the photo, you can see the short belt, and I have drawn a not too straight line where the long one goes. It goes under the big wheels that drive the capstan spindles and around the motor pulley. I hope this helps someone.
If you bought exactly the same remote, then it should work without doing anything (just make sure it has batteries) if you bought a Universal Remote, you should input the codes for Panasonic first.
The reel drive of your set is not taking up the tape and resulting in no detection of reel pulse. this makes it switch over and the result happens again. Please clean up your drives, the rollers, change the belt and check the reel drive arrangement, the motors. I am sure the mechanism must be reset with new belts . This must solve your issue. Good day
Hello not sure if you referring to the audio when you realize foot control the unit does auto backspace and the short rewind is audible if this is not your problem the unit has a bad motor probablyyou can send it to repair to this place
Send an email to [email protected] or call (800) 644-9525. Please indicate model, serial and detailed description of problem
there is a problem with the stereo firmware. It is not anything you are doing wrong. It is a common problem with all Aiwa's. If you are handy with electronical repair, you can test and replace the bad resistors. Otherwise, it will have to be taken in for diagnostic testing.
