Power cord replacement jvc fs-sd990 - JVC FS-SD990 CD Shelf System

Question edited for clarity, toss in some CAPS, add the Magic word.

Strangely there is no owners manual but there is a Service Manual for it. It appears that it is actually a 'JVC FS-2000GD'? Normally turning off the alarm just requires pressing the Alarm Set button one more time to toggle it off.

Or you can disconnect it from the mains, remove any back up batteries if it has them and it will reset everything. Then set the time.

You may find a power cord at Radio Shack, or go to www.jvc.com contact customer support and the technical department for answers.

Try www.jvc.com and contact customer support, also! check www.ebay.com type make and model and scroll through the list.

Main fuse is open, or the power transformer has opened at the primary, and possibily output issues.

I had the same problem. I just took it into a certified repair place. cost me 50 bucks to learn what part needed to be replaced and that it isn't available any more. Recyle it.

Contact JVC directly. They will refer you to their parts rep for your area. If the parts are available, you may find the parts to be rather expensive in relation to buying a new one.

Maybe the amplifier IC are damaged and need to be replaced

1. Unplug the JVC compact component power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices.
3. Press and hold the JVC compact component power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the JVC compact component power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the JVC compact component
5. Open the menu to confirm that the JVC compact component is responding again.
6. Turn off the JVC compact componentand reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the JVC compact component...
