Pump probably runs dry, try to fill up the pump with water a few times and see what it gives. If the pump heats up then the rotor is turning but no water moves, pressure is not building up. Pressure switch is maybe faulty. If you have the possibility to connect a pressure gauge after the dicharge you can see if the pressure is building up or not.
Hi , i'm not familiar with the machine so without model numbers it is hard to diagnose. if it is a trapped pressure unloader valve, ie the motor turns off when you let go of the trigger , then it is possible for it to be a pressure switch causing problems. the pressure switch may turn it off immediately you let go of the trigger or it may have a delay stop on it, where it will turn it off after a predetermined time interval. it is quite common for springs to break or microswitches to fail in these switches.
If there was no Pressure or fuel in the line then the pump is defective. Did you half to bleed the fuel line pressure off to get the filter disconnected from the fuel line. Can you hear the pump run when the key is on, you should be able to hear it run. And if you can hear it running then you can check the fuel pump pressure the motor does not half to be running to do this. Good Luck and have a good XMASS.
Good guess. You can find parts at: www.pressure-washer-parts.com
They handle comet pumps. See if you can find the number on the pump. Not a bad brand of pump, but they do wear out. Never run pump dry, never let idle more than a couple of minutes, the water recirculates in pump and gets hot. Install a temp relief vavle when you rebuild.
When you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump run if not, (fuel pump should run for 2 seconds and turn off). first thing to check is your fuel pump cut off switch which goes off in case of an accident. Next thing to check on the fuel line is find a Schrader valve to check for fuel pressure. If you have pressure you may have a different problem. If you don't have pressure or not sure hooked up a test light to the Power Supply at the fuel pump. If the light goes on you have power to the fuel pump. You may have a clogged fuel filter. If the fuel pump is still not working you may have a bad fuel pump or bad ground. Splice a wire into the ground and grounded it. If the fuel pump doesn't work pull it out and manually test it. If the fuel pump does work check all your grounds and make sure their cleaning connected to the body good. If this does not work Get a wiring diagram to figure out where the problem is. Good luck
the fuel pump is triggered by the engines oil pressure switch upon starting
when oil pressure reaches normal psi the relay takes over powering the fuel pump
you see know that your relay is not operating now for the pump
Have you changed the inline fuel filter? these usually have paper filter elements and after a while can be clogged with moisture which blocks fuel flow. The fuel pump will still have good pressure but the fuel rail will lack the flow required and you may burn out an injector as its running too lean. Secondly, the MAF sensor, could be dirty, clean it with electrical cleaner.
I think its more likeylt the fuel filter blocked. Try and bypass it if possible, reset the ECU and try agiain
Usually what I do first is pull the pump off the engine. After doing that use your hand to back the motor's shaft up about a quarter turn. Then without the pump on try to start the motor. If it starts put the pump back on and try to run it. Sometimes the crank and piston get set just perfectly so you cant pull it over. If that doesn't work post here again and I will help you further.
Dear rustrick281,
It seems that your pump needs a good service. The sucktion and delivery valves got faulty. The high pressure seals and the low pressure seals must be renewed. The pistons must be checked for corrosion and cracks. Also the pistons or one of the pistons got stuck due to oncorrect lubrication. The swash plate that drives the pistons could have got loose. So the motor turns and the pump stays dead. So a good examination and service must be done to the pump. To renew all the parts I have mentioned, you must buy a PUMP KIT for you model. The pistons are not included in the pump kit....but hopefuly the pistons are still good. Also the oil inside the pump must be renewed.

Fulltech.
1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure. 2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller. 3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.
