Casio ex-s770 wont charge - NO light on cradle but camera gets hot. I tried new battery but no success

I'm having the same problem. Tried charging it and when I put it on the dock the Red Charge light flashes. It won't charge, I can only view my photos while the camera is on the dock and I press the PHOTO option. Can't even get the expensive thing to power on. Have you figured yours out? I was thinking of buying a new battery pack, but they have got to be pricey, and what if that doesn't even work. Please let me know. 209-242-6198

Call tech support and they will replace the battery for you free of charge.

make sure that you didn't put the battery in backwards. It can be done and obviously, it won't charge

There was a recall on the batteries. Call customer support and they will send you a new one for free.

hi, once you charge your battery and the red light blink it means your NP-20 battery is damage and you need to buy new one.TIP- charge 1.5 hours only and if youre not using you camera for a long time its better to remove the battery.

Camera wont charge. when camera placed on cradle, the red charge light comes on for about 5 seconds, then starts to flash.the camera does not seem to have any power to it at all.Any ideas????

well have you made sure that the wire is fulley connected to the cradle? if it isnt, push hard and connect it back in. if it doesnt work, I have no idea sorry lol =)

Camera wont turn on.

hi try to reset ur camera...To do such reset, turn on the camera and hold the menu button down for longer than 5 seconds. A message should hopefully come up on your LCD asking if you want to reset the camera. Select Yes...

Casio Exilim works on cradle, wont turn on when off cradle

I would guess that the battery is not being charged. The problem could be poor connections between the charger & Camera or between camera and battery; or the battery no longer will take a charge.
First, clean the connections with the eraser end of a pencil. Clean the connections on the Charger and on the camer; clean the battery connections and in the camera, Charge overnight. If this does not get the camera working, borrow a battery and see if this works.

Battery Charge error

Hey Lak_69,
One problem I know of is the battery for your camera should be model NP-20 not model NP-40. The NP-20 has 650mAh. I would exchange your new battery for the correct model battery, and see if this works. If this doesn't work I would try cleaning the battery terminals in the camera, and if that doesn't work go ahead and try a new charger.
