USB option on my Wireless-G router is not working. The wireless portion of the router is operating well. The LED for the USB comes on when I boot the router, but then goes out. My PC connects to the internet using the USB port from the router, but I just get a "network cable unplugged" error message for my LAN. The USB cable plugged in.

Try checking your computer's driver. Right click on Computer. Go to Device Manager. The device drivers are listed in the device manager. Drivers are used to make your computer parts communicate with the operating system. If it has a problem, then the part won't work.
Check for your wireless driver - update it. If no go, then try turning off your wireless adapter in your computer and turn it on. Check = if no go. Try going to safe mode with networking.
To go to safe mode. Do the following:
1. Restart your computer. While it's starting or booting, keep tapping F8 until you see the options to go to safe mode with networking. Use the arrow keys to highlight safe mode with networking.
2. Let your computer start in safe mode. Check if wireless is working fine.
If you want to avoid this kind of problem in the future or if you want to make sure that your computer is running well, then install Radarsync.
When you plug the USB adaptor into the USB port the PC should show that it is loading the drivers for it. Once this is done, there will be an icon in the bottom right corner indicating wireless operation and you should be able to click on the icon to open a list of wireless networks in range. If it says that there are no wireless networks in range then you may need to move closer to your wireless router. Make sure that the wireless activity LED on the router is on otherwise your router will not be configured for wireless access. Once your PC sees your router you can try to connect to it, but if it is secured (as it should be) then you will need to know the security key in order to access it.
Try turning the router off for 15 sec. then power it up again waite until the LEDs are on then boot up the DELL laptop.
If you shutdown both the router and the laptop and power them up together, then the wireless router may not finish initializing when the laptop boots up and therefore the wireless router doesn't get a chance to issue an IP address to the laptop.
Make sure the wireless router LED lights are on before you boot up the laptop.
as no router name is given try going online with the ethernet connection 1st of works get the wireless key , and change the wireless channel to higher frequency

First generally a wireless router in installed onto a network either to the ISP's modem or to another router that is connected to an ISP's modem it is not connected on the wan side to a computer (unless that computer is acting as a firewall or proxy server to the internet). Computers are generally connected with a wire to the (optional) switch portion of a wireless router or wireless connection.
Have you tried testing with a computer wired to the router to assure internet access is possible without worrying about wireless issues?
If you are considering encrypting the wireless router did you test it unencrypted first to assure the unencrypted radio transmissions work?
Is the wireless communication encrypted for other computers you own and possibly not for the HP you are now trying to connect?
Are you sure the distance between the wireless router and the garage is not an issue. Perhaps you could test and configure the connection in the room with the router and when it is working move it to the garage.
According to the product specs for the HP Pavilion it has built in wireless B & G you did not include the router manufacturer and model does it operate on the either wireless B or G?
If the wireles led is turned OFF, either the wireless is turned OFF in the router's settings or the wireless portion is not working anymore.
You may contact contact motorolla for this or your ISP (if the ISP has provided the router)
good luck
Sorry, but i cannot see how your PS2 can possibly be able to communicate with your wireless usb dongle, because you need drivers to use it and you are not able to load anything onto a PS2.
Besides all peripherals are not compatible with PS2's as they are not able to load drivers.
