Proform 622 Exp treadmill belt slips

I have a Proform 622 Exp treadmill and the belt slips pretty badly. I actually fell on my back. It seems like when it slips, the belt stops at the point while Im walking on it. Do I need to use lubricant or I need to adjust the belt by the motor? We have replaced the motor a few years ago

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches above the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. Now if this does not solve this problem then check the drive belt and adjust accordingly, also reverse the process of the above mentioned

Have you adjusted the lateral movement of the belt by adjusting the hex screws on the base? That could help. How old is your treadmill? The belt may have stretched to the point where you need a new one. I'd try the lubricant first. You can get a tube in a treadmill kit. If that doesn't work you can order a new treadmill belt.

My proform treadmill belt is still slipping after i tighten the belt

If the treadmill belt continues to slip even after you have adjusted the rear roller bolts, then it is time to replace the running belt. These belts do stretch over time and must be replaced when they stretch to the point that it can no longer be tightened enough to not slip.

We have a Proform Sport 1000 treadmill which when you get on it the belt slips badly and it hardly moves. The belt doesn't seem loose so is the motor failing?

There is a belt between the front roller and the motor (drive belt) that is under the motor hood. The trick is to watch the front roller when you get on the walking belt. If the front roller stops with the walking belt, then the drive belt is loose and needs to be replaced or tightened. If you have already adjusted the walking belt, and you can hear the motor, it's the drive belt. There will be 3 screw on the front of the machine, and a couple of screws under the main frame. Tip the unit over to find the screws, and take off the cover. You'll be able to see where the slip is.

I adjusted the belt so it would be more centered by following the instrucitons in the manual- turning left side hex screw 1/4 turn at a time until more centered. once it was more centered the belt started...

Under your motor hood you have a drive belt that can also slip. Depending on make you may after loosening the motor bolts and have an adjusting bolts.

Treadmill is slippng badly

There should be an allen head bolt on each side at the rear of the treadmill going throughthe rear cover into the tail [rear] roller. Turn each one 1/4 turn at a time equally untill slipping is stopped. If belt tracks more to one side tighten slightly more on that side.

Proform Crosswalk Advanced 525X the belt slips and it squeaks when slipping.....I have tried adjusting the end of the belt but that doesnt seem to help

One possibility is the pulley in the front roller. The shaft that goes into the roller slips making the belt seem as if its slipping. To check it it requires tmarking both surfaces with paint and then see if the mark seperates.

Belt on nordic track exp 1000 not moving today but worked this week. machine turns on though

if you hear the motor moving with no belt turning the problem is either the front roller or the drive belt. If there is no motor movement then this is usually an indication of a bad control board located under the lower section of the treadmill.

Belt is slipping

your macnine needs some maintenance. slippage on the proform is usually due to a worn out front roller and a worn motor driving the belt. both can be replaced. or you may want to find a good used one as many get no use before the optomististic owner decides to sell.

Treadmill seems to slip while running,

To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns.
