Hey, I've had a pair of Sennheiser CX 400ii Precision headphones for about 3 months now, and just today the right headphone has started making an annoying buzzing/fizzing sound when in use. Sound is slightly reminiscent of audio clipping, only constantly. Would greatly appreciate any help if this can be fixed!

SOURCE: RS120 Can still hear TV when headphones are on

Ok.. first.. the simple thing is to go into your television menu and turn the television speaker OFF.
Then exit the menu and turn the volume up.. try your headphones now.

Next.. check the back of the TV for a FIXED AUDIO OUT.. plut your headphones into these outputs.. if you have these.. you can simply turn the set down.. and use the volume control on the headphones.

I think this is common problem for headphones. To fix it you will have to solder cord's wires back to plug. If you have tools and some experience you'll be fine

There's no sound coming out from left earphone

Try your headphones in a different audio device. If the problem persists than the headphones have a split in the wiring for the left earbud. If you are under warranty then Sennheiser will happily repair your headphones.

It's likely the groud connection in the cable is broken. Possibly at the plug, it would mean no centre focus and no bass as the headphones get only out of phase sounds. I'm guessing you've tried them in another device - a faulty sockey would do the same.

Help! no bass sound, low volume

You might want to try using a different size of the earpieces that come with it, and make sure they're inserted fully into your ear. They come with three different size earpieces because people's ears are shaped differently, and having the right size can make a HUGE difference in the sound. If it's done right, it should basically feel like you've just inserted an earplug into your ear.

If that doesn't help, and you've tried another pair of headphones to verify that it's not a problem with your sound source, I would guess you were unlucky enough to get a defective pair.

Sound fades out on both earphones

The chance of both speakers going bad at same time is remote. Your ipod is at fault and has something wrong with its output circuits. Check to make sure that there is no muting circuit inadvertently turned on.
