The Color On My Mitsubishi Rear Projection Tv model- WS-55908 looks to be off, picture looks blue and Yellow.

its sounds like the convergence on your TV needs to be adjusted. (this adjusts all of the color guns in the back of the tv to line them up again, when they get off, you start to get yellow blue or red halos around objects in the picture. In the setup menu on your TV under picture or Display there will be an item that says "convergence" follow the instructions in there so all the crosses on the screen no longer have colored halos anymore.

I was given a tv with a color problem. The main colors are yellow, blue and red. There are blue shadows behind the yellow words. Is this a major problem?

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded over.

Tv shows double vision in blue color. how to fix this problem?

This is a problem with your convergence settings found under your tv's menu. its very easily fixed, you just need to open the setting for convergence and use the arrows on your remote to adjust. inproper convergence can cause either a red or blue haze around almost any object displayed on the tv screen

Double Blue Halo Effect and Blurry Blue Picture

thats a problem with the Blue CRTs coolant needing replacement. If you look directly into the blue and green CRTs while its playing you should notice a bunch of crud inside the lens indicating that the coolant needs replacement. You can get the coolant replacement kit for a phillips at the following link which includes the coolant and instructions

Screen hazzy and issue with blue convergence

bad convergence would cause show to look as if it was supposed to be a 3-d movie, if a bulb was going out then people would look purple blue -green,or some other off color, so likely the green bulb is going out from the color of the people you described.

Phillips Model 60pp920217f

No. your problem is related to the coolant in the green CRT has congealed with bacteria and needs to be changed. Thats what causes the halos and general poor picture and color quality. The blue should be changed also. The red for some reason doesnt seem to be affected by the bacteria problem. This is a common problem that happens with all projection TVs phillips and magnavox TVs

Yellow haze

Hi...the yellow haze is probably the blue filter is burnt and needs replaced. This is very common in Zeniths. There are 3 color filters in the Zeniths blue (pinkish in color), green (grayish in color) and the red (it is red). The #1 problem in this TV is the blue filter is burnt and it is an easy fix. It could also be the LCD cube is bad. I would try the blue filter replacement first. It will probably do the trick.

Yellow Haze Center Screen

The blue filter is burnt out. A very common problem in Zenith DLPs. There are 3 color filters, 1 blue (a pinkish color), 1 green (a grayish brown) and 1 red (it is red) they give you your colors for you picture. This is a simple fix.
