I have a 2 yr subscription to mcAfee, but my computer has been recovered x 2 and i am prompted to re-prescribe. mcaffee says i have a subscription and to get intouch with acer tech support

Log in using your email address and password. If you do not have a McAfee account, select New User? Register Now, follow the prompts to create your McAfee account, then click Log In.

Mouse-over My Account and select Auto-Renewal Settings.
Select Turn Off. If your Auto-Renewal is set to Off, you don't need to do anything.

If it is expired then you need to get the mcafee removal tool to remove mcafee and then go to the trial download page and download the trial version to be secured. or you can purchase online as well.
This dimwit (me)......didn't download the purchased software....thinking that the trial would activate. There seemed to be no prompt saying after purchase please download the permanent subscription as the Trial version is not appropriate.
Hi,
The Windows Firewall is different from MCafee Security Centre. And if it has a X on it that means Ur MCafee Protection is disabled or May be expired.
To Check that, Just click on the MCafee Icon on the desktop or on the botton right hand corner, and check if its disabled or u needs to renew it.
