Hi I hay a Hayward H400 pool heater. It is 2

Hi I have a Hayward H400 pool heater. It is 2 years old. It just started doing this. It starts and then after about 2 mins and it kicks on and off. It keeps cycling like this until I shut it off . Once it starts cyling like this, the cycles are short 5-10 secs. I need to shut it off to stop it. The control panel shows not error codes. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

This is a water flow problem and will be the by-pass assembly in the water manifold. Or their may be an external by-pass wich will be a valve bridging the inlet and outlet pipes for the water. This valve if you have it should be 80-90% closed to force water through heater. Before you do anything be sure to check to be sure the filter and baskets are clean. Often this is the problem.

This is something your gas company should figure and supply for libality reasons. they will be responseable for any damage done from improper pressure. They will need to figure along with heater size and tank size, pipe size and run of pipe along with other varebeles like number and type of fittings on line and other appliences on the feed.

Hayward H400 Pool heater will not stay lit

"IF" - Hayward Pool Heater Fails to Ignite: the most common reason for this problem is insufficient gas supply. The Hayward heater LED display will show a diagnostic fault code of "IF" which stands for Ignition Failure. Undetected gas pressure problems if not investigated properly may result in unnecessary replacement and servicing of your Hayward Pool Heater.
