If you loaded XP from a Microsoft disk (not from a NEC disk) then you are missing the drivers for video and audio. You will need to download these from the NEC website.

You might try resetting you BIOS back to default settings. Do this by turning PC on and right when it first comes on you should see some options on the screen that say F2 = BIOS set up or something like that. Any way press F2 at first screen you see when PC comes on. This will put you into the BIOS. It should look like this.
Use arrow keys to navigate to Auto Configuration with Defaults. This with set BOIS setting back original setting which should remove the password.
You need to goto
the manufacturers website, find their support section and there should be a
list of drivers for your specific machine. Installing these should resolve your
problem. I have a list of links to most manufacturers drivers on my website.

If it hasn't installed the device , uninstall device and reboot then restart device should autofind and self install
