Alpine 9887 displays INTERRUPT in 1998 Honda Accord EX
After installing an Alpine 9887 into a 1998 Honda Accord EX, it displays INTERRUPT after it shows the Alpine welcome screen. Is this due to a security problem or is there wires switched around?
Re: Alpine 9887 displays INTERRUPT in 1998 Honda Accord...
I think its the wires mate. if you wnt to try something Discconect the battery of the car. let it 10 minutes and then plug it again. if it not work the problems are the wires.
Check on the web for the distribution of the colors and wires from ur stereo and from the car.

Look behind the engine, almost directly under the engine air intake unit, to locate the vehicle speed sensor. Locate the sensor's 12 mm hex bolt. The bolt is slightly further back and towards the driver's side of the car, relative to the vehicle speed sensor connector.Jan 9, 2023
It lost the voice and or the voice crackles... I had that same problem. Eventually the entire thing will go out. Check to see what brand CD/DVD drive is mounted in the trunk. Mine was Alpine. If yours is too here you go: Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. (800) 421-2284 Ext.860304 or (800) ALPINE-1 (1-800-257-4631) I paid $150 and the entire thing was fixed. I uninstalled the unit that the DVD for the navigation is in then sent it out. I re-installed it and it worked like new. The dealer charges labor and JACKS up the price. Go directly through the maker!
