How to shorten Dishwasher running time

I have Maytag Quiet Series 300 and have had this about 5 years and love it but the short clean takes 82 minutes. Is there anyway to shorten this time? I of course can't find my manual and have not been able to find a manual on line.

No way to shorten the cylces, they are what they are, this machine (all newer machinces for that matter) use far less water and much smaller more efficent motors than years past, however to clean the same the tend to run much longer 90 min normal for normal cycle, nothing can be done sorry!

Aborcas is WRONG ... there are special sequences for the buttons that can be pressed and it will move on or shorten the phase that it is in. I can't remember and that is why I am here. I can't remember the sequence for our Kenmore UltraWash...

Hello jscott,
It is typical nowdays for most dishwashers not to drain all water out of the bottom tub (Even where you cant see) due to siphon design and energy efficiency. Try using about a liter of vinegar and throw it on the bottom tub of the dishwasher. Let it run through a full cycle and see how that works. Has worked for me

Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher, dishes come out dirty
A water softner will not make the dishes any cleaner, it just makes it so they don't have water spots on them.
If the dishes are dirty, it is most likely that the nozzles (holes) in arms may be plugged.
Also check to make sure you are getting plenty of water to dishwasher. Make sure all water valves are full turned open.

If the control panel does not work all the time, it is very likely you have either a shorted wire, or a fualty main board which is very common in newer machines.

Maytag Quiet Series 300. The lights flash in sequence starting from the outside traveling inward. The timer counts backwards from 50 to 1. Then the sequence starts over. and continues over and over. I'm able to clear it when the time reaches 1 or 2. It stays off for a while (3-4 hours) then starts over. I can not clear the countdown until it reaches 1 or 2. After I clear it the dishwasher will work, but until then, no way. This happens with the door open or closed.
